SUMMER SESSIONS Tuesdays June 23- Sept 8(with breaks) 6:30-9pm

This 9 week session is the next steps series held over  12 weeks that will give you more skills, more practice and a broader level of experience.

We will embark on a clay journey that begins with a sweet refresher on centering, pulling a cylinder, trimming and then we will move through skills to refine your forms.

We will work on:

consistency and replicating shapes, making more complex shapes including lidded jars (if you have a shape goal we will work on that),  surface decoration exploration,  throwing larger pieces in two pieces, throwing larger.

We will glaze 2-3 times in the series so you can learn to record what you did so you can refine that look or replicate what you love, analyze what went well and what could go better.  We will do a class on the process of testing glazes and learning to make a desired colour.

Because summer is full, I will be taking breaks in this class and offering studio time to make up for classes that you are away so you still get your practice time- they will not be lessons- just time for you to practice what you know with the ability to ask for help and guidance.

class dates:

Tuesdays June 23 + 30

                 July   7 + 14 + 28.  (july 21 is a break week)

                 Aug    4 + 11 +18

                 Sept.  8  Final glaze and maybe a snacky potluck 

minimum of 4 students will be required to run this class
